Development and Land Use
Mr. Rowe's development and land use experience includes:
- Representing a national university located in Boston, MA in the zoning of its 1.5M square foot, 10 acre student village involving several phases of development in a Planned Development Area including dormitories, athletic arena, indoor recreation center, convocation center, and underground parking. Also represented the university in the permitting of its life sciences and engineering building comprising administrative office and research laboratory facilities.
- Representing an international investment and development company in the zoning, permitting and leasing of a 1M square foot office tower located in a Planned Development Area in downtown Boston.
- Representing a national investment and development company in the zoning and permitting of a 330,000 square foot mixed-use development project in a Planned Development Area to comprise a 325 room, 11 story hotel, and a 220 unit, 19 story residential apartment tower located in Boston's South End, and in the joint venture formation with a national investment and development company to co-develop the project.
- Advising a Boston area independent parochial school in zoning and permitting matters concerning the school's potential relocation to an existing 40,000 square foot building requiring renovations and use changes, including conditional use requirements for a project located within a Greenbelt Overlay District.
